SCAPEGRACE PRINCE

Inspired by an investigation into how a historical figure becomes a fictional character, Scapegrace Prince delves into Shakespeare’s Henry IV Part 1 and focuses on one person’s fixation on the character of Prince Hal. How do we discover the truth of a person, if such a thing can be said to exist? Eclectic and fast-paced, Scapegrace Prince takes place where late night variety show meets TED Talk.

Scapegrace Prince was performed for the first time in 2014 as part of the Gallatin Arts Festival at NYU.

It has since received a reading through Dacha Theatre in Seattle as part of their support for the further development of this piece. Excerpts from Scapegrace Prince were performed in 2018 and 2019 at Dacha events.
